Local Spotlight: Greenline 58 Fly

In a new partnership, the Greenline 58 Fly combines sustainability and flexibility into a new standard of livability

New generation of boating

Greenline Yachts is adding the 58 Fly to its new range of flybridge cruisers, marking a new partnership between builder Marco Casali of Too Design and MICAD engineering. The 58 Fly brings a fresh feel to boating with clean lines and tight proportions which highlight the elements that make this vessel such a livable boat.

Livability means room to move and entertain, and the 58 Fly encapsulates this perfectly. The vessel has a single-level main deck with aft galley which helps the saloon and cockpit combine into a large living and entertaining area. Family and friends will enjoy the spectacular views over the water from the lower deck due to the cut-outs in the forward bulwarks. Bring the entertaining outside with the extended hydraulic bathing platform with a 500kg lift capacity and aft-facing bench for a perfect terrace area over the sea. Six can dine in at the table, but the extension and extra set of chairs allow eight to sit and be protected under the cockpit. If it’s a quiet, relaxing afternoon you’re after, the hi-lo table and cushions convert into a spacious daybed connecting to the beach club aft. The space provided will allow the owner the flexibility to change the layout to suit their needs, an essential feature in new boats.

As a standard arrangement, the 58 Fly has three cabins, two bathrooms and walk-in wardrobe for the full beam master and the double VIP suites. If a walk-in wardrobe is not your thing, this can be changed to a third bathroom that becomes a day head. If you won’t be inviting that number of guests onboard, the twin guest cabin can be replaced with a dedicated study, perfect for remote working with built-in monitors, HDMI and USB points, printer storage and comfortable seating. If this option is chosen, the sofa here can be converted into a single berth.

Keeping with the times, the Greenline has electric, diesel and hybrid propulsion opportunities, helping propel the industry forward into sustainable boating. An array of 11 solar panels across the flybridge and hard top produce 3.6kW of power, perfect for the domestic appliances to run without a noisy diesel generator. Carbon fibre is used throughout the boat to keep the weight down.

Luca Raumland, Head of Sales and Marketing at Greenline’s parent company, SVP Yachts, said many customers are looking to upgrade to the hybrid concept, with 50 units already sold. “This is the next generation of Greenline yachts but it stays true to what the brand has always stood for, which is sustainable boating at a reasonable price,” he said.

As a perfect middle ground between the popular 48 Fly and 68 Ocean Class, interested buyers can get their hands on the all-new vessel in autumn 2022.
